Hi my name is Lily-Belle. I am a very brave kat and here is my story.
I am Lily-Belle. I was adopted by my humans one year ago next week (March 1st, 1998). My humans wanted a female companion for my big sisfur Smokey, who is five years old. Smokey was kind of lonely, being the only girl in a family of two big brothers, Tucker and Jason. THey hung out together, and pretty much ignored her. SO Meowmie got the bright idea that she needed a sister to talk girl talk with. And Daddy had always wanted a polydactyl kitty (that means with extra toes). So they looked all over the Bulletin Boards on-line, sent tons of e-mail to area shelters, asking for a female poly cat. They did not want a kitten, being afraid that a small cat would get beaten up by the bigger ones. Finally one day they got an e-mail from a shelter about an hour & ½ away from where they live in New York City. The lady who runs the shelter said "I have just the perfect cat for you. She's ten months old - not too small - with seven toes on her front paws, and one extra on each back paw. She is a charmer named Lily. Well, they rushed off first thing the next morning to rent a car, cuz they don't own one. They got to the shelter in the afternoon, and fell in love with me. "She's just the perfect little sister for Smokey" they enthused. Poor deluded fools!!! Anyway, when they brought me home, and introduced me to the older kitties, I scared them silly. Little me! 10 months old, about three pounds, and they were terrified. The older boys hid under a chair for a week. And my new big sisfur, Smokey, hates me so much that she now lives permanently on top of the refridgefator!!! She has her own penthouse suite up there, complete with her own water, food, and litter box. She rarely comes down. And when she does, I just look at her, and she runs back up. Aren't I brave???
